What is Progressive Metal Stamping?
Progressive Metal Stamping is a metal stamping operation used to perform multiple metal stamping operations with minimal material handling. Metal is feed automatically from a coil on one side of stamping press, and moves a station for every stroke of the press, each adding a unique feature. The finished component with be cut off at the last station.
CEI has the capabilities of designing different operations into the die such as punching, bending, forming, blanking, piercing, and drawing. Each operation is performed at different stations of the die as the piece moves along. This procedure allows CEI to produce parts at a very cost efficient price due to multiple operations performed automatically to the component, removing the need for costly secondary operations. Our experienced design engineers and toolmakers create tools that produce parts in tolerance right from the start, minimizing waste, thus saving you money.
