Metal Coining & Swaging

CEI utilizes a 600-ton coining press for precision coined, swaged, and forged components of all materials.

What is Swaging & Coining?
Swaging and Coining are similar terms that describe the metal stamping operation of moving metal along the surface to produce three dimensional features. Examples include seals and logo embossing.

CEI specializes in metal coining and swaging. This process applies pressure to the surface of the material causing plastic flow and leaving a detailed surface. Our 600-ton coining press is one of the highest tonnage knuckle presses in the region and produces precision coined, drawn, and swaged components within tight tolerances.

Our coining press primarily used as a secondary operation. Examples of components requiring metal coining we have produced include: industrial seals, hardware components, medical device components, decorative shirt and jacket buttons, and coins.

We have the ability to coin stainless steel, aluminum, titanium, cold roll steel, brass, and just about any type of metal. Our coining press increases our capabilities of manufacturing thicker components.
